Coaches, Managers & Umpires

All teams have coaches & managers appointed to them.

The Committee puts a lot of effort into recruiting coaches who know how to motivate kids and get them to work as a team.

Our 6-aside teams are coached by skilled, motivated parents; or young up-and-coming youth hockey players – most of whom are in Wellington representative teams.

Our 11-aside teams are coached by highly skilled current hockey players, or parents who have played hockey to a very high level (e.g. past regional representatives or Black Sticks).

Every year we need parents to help with coaching and managing teams, and umpiring.  These are rewarding roles and are fully supported by the Committee.  We provide all the gear you need and can help with training.  Please contact us directly or tick the box on your child’s registration form.
